Hey Kinship, well another trip stateside and of course another exciting new adventure! You could say Mama Kin was On The Rocks! Now normally that would mean we would be finished or taking some sort of vacation, but it was far from that. Mama Kin played in Erie, PA at the club called On The Rocks! To say we woke the dead is an understatement considering there was a Cemetery right across the street! I believe we woke some of them up and some might have even rolled over in their grave. No disrespect as we will ALL end up there some day! But Friday night was not about the dead but about the LIVING... One could say we were Living on the Edge... Sorry I couldn't resist! We arrived as "happy hour" was ending, too bad for us! But as that crowd made their exit a whole new and younger crowd populated the cozy enviornment that would be home to a Mama Kin assualt Aerosmith style! After scarfing down some HOT wings leaving poor Jess in a sweat, we transformed from the "road crew" to the almighty mock stars. It took about two songs in to realize that this was going to be a smokin' party. The tempature reached easily over a 100 degrees in a matter of minutes which made the show that much more enjoyable. Friday night saw the return of the OLD tradition of LOVELY ladies joining us for Love in an Elevator. Judging from the smile on Andrew Z's face they gave us quite the show themselves. A smoke was definitely in order once the song was over. The stage was violated with sweat, perfume and of course PINK baby! The night wore on and the clothes became less as people stripped down to try and cool themselves off somehow. Luckly for us we had front row seats. But just like everything else in this life, ALL good things must come to an end! Coming to an end is not that bad, as long as everyone involved feels spent, satisfied and mostly HAPPY! After many pictures, kisses, hugs and rub downs, we proceeded to pack up and head home back into our LOVELY country. Not before Liam, the owner, told us we would definitely be back in 2009 to host some Harley Davidson party. Now THAT sounds like a PARTY! Mama Kin would like to thank everyone from the COOL border guard to the AWESOME staff and it's patrons for making us feel at home for at least a few hours anyway! A special thanks to the one guy who made us HOWL for the Don Knotts comment! LOL! Well, that's all for this edition of Road Notes, check back next week as we head up North to The COULSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay safe Kinship and remember to always spread a little Sweet Emotion!
Cya,

Frank
